I Don’t Like This One Bit

Did you know some fast food restaurants have actual people that walk out to take orders from cars in the drive thru line? Like, when the line is long, they send real actual people to take your order.

I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit.

Do you think I want to have to look someone in the eye when I’m ordering well more than my fair share of junk food? Spoiler alert – I don’t. It makes me order less food, which is awesome for my waistline but pretty sucky for your bottom line fast food managers. So put a stop to it. Now.

I’m going to have nightmares. This reminds me of when I had a daily cookie breakfast habit at a bakery, and I came in one day and they said, “The regular?”

Lol are you kidding me? They had to be on something to be acting that way like the Super Saiyin girl on Youtube who attacked a Mickeys D’s drive through

Hilarious! The poor fast food people – just trying to help people have a shorter wait time. Little do they realize they are sabotaging their own bottom line.

(while we sabotage our own “bottom” lines as well with that order of large fries)

    Sorry :)

Hahaha! Funny! There is a reason why I’m going the drive thru way! :)

I was in the drive thru but the line was so long they were sending people out to take the orders. Alas, the best laid plans…

When that happens, I’m like “See this face? This face will have a double dog, onion rings, a choco cake, and a large coke. Thanx!” :)

Personally, I think this is very cool. You will adjust, promise. They aren’t judging they are just hoping for a good tip. Did they come to your car on roller skates?

    1. girlonthecontrary says:

Nope – I wouldn’t have minded so much if they had been on roller skates.

I know, right? It happened to me the other day and it freaked me out. I tried drive around her but the queue was too wide and I had to look her in the eye and I missed out on my side of onion rings!

    1. girlonthecontrary says:

See? How many onion rings have to go missed before they make a change???

  8. anticlockwiseopinions says:

That only happens at McDonalds in the UK but you just pretend you’re looking at the menu. Either way they get some aspect of your order wrong!

    1. girlonthecontrary says:

I do get a bit grumpy when my order is wrong, but I usually play the nice card and get something free. :)

I don’t know who it’s more awkward for, them or us! I do try to play down what I want to order as well though. Always a regret when 3 chips isn’t enough!

Yeah I couldnt care less, they gonna give me my whoppers and Hershey pie, notice I said whoppers, plural. Fat girl gotta eat , Lol.

  11. Sarah Day says:

That is really interesting…there are people who eat less if someone takes their order face-to-face? The social ramifications are huge. Think of the possibilities!

    1. girlonthecontrary says:

I don’t know if there are people – but there is definitely a person and that’s me!
